Rev. Chibuzor Igboanusi, Parochial Administrator

"My name is Fr. Chibuzor Gerald Igboanusi (also known as Fr. Chi). I am the sixth son and the youngest of thirteen children. I was born and raised in a strong Catholic family in Umuowa, Orlu in Imo State of Nigeria, West Africa.

I attended St. Mary's Seminary (high school), Umuowa, Nigeria. After High School, I studied Philosophy at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College in Owerri, Nigeria, and graduated in 2000. I then moved to the United States where I pursued another undergraduate program at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2003. After my undergrad, I also pursued graduate studies in Communications at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. It was while studying at Eastern Illinois University that I decided to respond to God's call to the diocesan priesthood, and in the fall of 2004, I joined the Archdiocese of Omaha.

Continuing my studies, I then studied Theology at Mount Angel Seminary at St. Benedict, Oregon – a seminary unique in its cultural diversity and monastic tradition. I have a Certificate from the Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University (2005) and a Certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education from Alegent Health, Omaha (2006). I also have a Masters of Arts degree in Sacred Scripture (2007), a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology (2008), and a Masters of Divinity (2008). The focus of my theological studies was on Pauline Literature. I enjoy education and helping people. I was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Omaha on June 7, 2008, at the Cathedral of St. Cecilia by the Most Rev. Elden Francis Curtiss, Archbishop of Omaha. I celebrated my First Mass at my then adopted home Parish, St. Mary’s Church, in South Omaha on June 8, 2008.

In my free time, I enjoy reading novels, movies, music and traveling. Although not a fan of baseball (I think it is boring!), I do enjoy other sports. Among my favorite sports are soccer, tennis and American football. My favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers; however I also love the Huskers.

My first assignment as a priest was at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish in West Omaha where I served as an associate pastor. I enjoy working with young people; and was privileged to be the founder of the St. Stephen the Martyr Young Adult Ministry, also known as “Adults Serving a Purpose” (ASAP), as well as “the Nazarenes” – a vibrant Charismatic Prayer Ministry at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish. I am extremely happy to begin my second priestly ministry at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and Roncalli Catholic High School, and I am looking forward to meeting you, and to serving the Lord with you."

Dawn Willis, Parish Secretary

"My name is Dawn Willis.  My husband Michael and I live in the Quail Run Subdivision and are members of St. Patrick's Church in Elkhorn. I was raised in the Arlington area and moved to Omaha when I married my husband in 1978. We moved to Richland Center, Wisconsin and after that Boulder City, Nevada before moving back to the Omaha area in 1999 when Mike took a position as Liturgist at St. James Church. I began working for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in July of 1999.

Both of our extended families are in the Omaha area as are our children and their families. Family is extremely important to us. We have three grown children, two sons and a daughter, and our five grandchildren are the light of our life.

Mike is now the Liturgist at St. Pat's in Elkhorn and I am involved in the Music Ministry there. This past year (2010) I switched to working 3 days a week for SEA and am blessed to spend the other two days watching the youngest grandbaby.

A partial list of my responsibilities at SEA are general office duties, putting together the weekly bulletin, the monthly calendar, the weekend petitions and the altar announcements. I also coordinate the Archdiocesan Safe Environment program for our parish, collate the Annual Parish Intention Cards and of course all those 'other duties as assigned'."
