Spring of 1983 ground was broken for the new church. Fr. James Tieggs was assigned to be our first full-time associate pastor. Patience was needed for materials and parts that didn't arrive on time. Construction was a lesson in faith!
The grade school is shared by families of both St. James and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishes. Its name was changed to St. James/Seton School after voting by both parish councils.
In June of 1986 Fr. James Coyle replaced Fr. Tieggs as our associate pastor. In June of 1988, upon the transfer of Fr. McDermott, Fr. Anthony Petrusic became our second pastor. He remained until December 1990 when he was replaced by Fr. Anthony Tresnak who remained until 1995 when our current pastor Fr. Joe Hanefeldt was assigned. Fr. Al Salanitro became associate pastor in June 1989. Since then our associate pastors have been Fr. Tom Magnuson, 1991-1992; Fr. Paul Zaccone, 1992-1995; Fr. Antonydoss, 1995-1996; Fr. William Safranek, 1996-1999; Fr. Joseph Wray, 1999-2003 when our current associate pastor Fr. Walter Nolte was assigned.
On May 1, 1998, we broke ground on the Parish Center and Rectory additions to our facilities, and occupancy of the Parish Center began on All Saints Day, November 1, 1999.
In June 2004, work began on church interior renovations. In October, new altar furnishings arrived and Archbishop Curtiss celebrated the consecration of the new altar and blessing of our renovations. In June of 2006, our parish will celebrate its 25th Jubilee.
Our family is growing and our future looks bright. May our life here - the sacraments we celebrate and the events that bring us together - help us become ever more "one body of Christ Jesus."
